That doesn't surprise me, wasn't he playing basketball or something on election day?
I'd be a little surprised if the president randomly say next to me at a basketball game, though.

I'm sure the kid in red was positively ecstatic about it.

Fun can come later after he does his goddamn job. He wasn't elected to a regular 9 to 5 job, he was elected to LEAD A COUNTRY and he's not doing a very good job of it. He already used the excuse that he's just throwing money at the economy problems because he's "too busy to deal with it". But he's going to a b-ball game? WTF?

So you're saying he cannot do a single entertaining thing for 4 years because he has to work 24/7? Do you really think taking a few hours out of his night to watch a basketball game is going to cause a major crisis? I really do think you're forgetting the fact that he's a human.

Whaaaaa? You mean he isn't made of magic? But that's the only reason I voted for him, oh wait...
Probably just the opposite and trying to come to grips with that Obama's been such a disappoint of late.

Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying. Yes he's Human, but he actively took on a job to run this country. You can't run a country when you're going to red carpet events, record-release parties and basketball games. Sorry, but he says he "inherited" this country's BS, that he doesn't have the time to deal with it, he should get his dumb ass back in the office and do his job. Period. Wake up, shower, get dressed, eat breakfast, work, eat lunch, work, go home, eat dinner, spend family time, go to sleep. Every day. Until his job is done. it's only 4 years, he'll make enough money living off the taxpayers flying military aircraft being driven in government-owned vehicles eating food paid for by taxpayers and still getting paid 400 large per year to retire and live happily the rest of his life without having to worry about anything else. He can spend these 4 years doing what he needs to do and nothing else. He's done campaigning, he was elected, time to stop rubbing elbows and actually do something for a change, rather than just claiming "present".

I'm sorry, but the job of the President does not entail that. It's unrealistic, ridiculous, and unfair. Even the best of us would crack under that pressure. He isn't a god and the country doesn't need his undivided attention every waking hour.

There are many that would say Bush taking a few hours out of his morning to read to children did. Interestingly, the majority of them are most likely Obama supporters.
Just sayin'.

I suppose everywhere is the same. and its actually
When A gets elected, B will no doubt criticize and try to make A look bad at all cost. What B not realize is that THEY HAVE MADE MISTAKES, horrible mistakes and many of them too, that made the/your people choose to elect a different government. While not looking back and try to amend your mistakes, you choose to trash talk people and don't cooperate, in turn, makes the life of the/your people worse because the new government cannot do a god damn thing, with all the sabotaging going on.
You the bad government, expect the/your people to elect you in the next or any election from hence forth?
It is happening right now where I am, we the/your people have spoken, we cast our votes. we are displease with the former government, a new one has been formed, you as the "bad government" should try to help the new one do a better job then you have ever attempted and not disappoint the/your people. Making the new government look bad is not the way to make your people vote for you. god damn it.

Before you start spewing your Hannity-inspired Fox News bullshit, I must inform you that every Prez over the last 40 or so years has thrown the first pitch of the MLB season, and regularly attends things such as operas, movies, and sporting events; so, in conclusion, stop being ignorant and singling out Obama for something every other Commander in Chief has done. Just because he's the most powerful man in the country doesn't mean he can't be entertained from time to time.

There's an awesome assumption that I watch Fox News. But that's all it is.
None of those other presidents walked into a shitty situation, tripled the situation within a month, then went and watched a basketball game.
None of them said "I don't have the time to solve the country's problems so here's more money."
None.

Well unless you want a president that drops dead after 6 months of doing what you want them to do, it's not the way to do it.
In other words: No human can handle what you want him to do. No one. I don't know if you supported McCain, but he couldn't do this either. You need to have some time off or you will go crazy.

Are you stupid? Seriously? There are people who live their entire lives working 80 hours a week DOING PHYSICAL LABOR and are just fine with it. He wanted the job, he got the job, he needs to do the job. He's not going to drop dead after 6 months of office work and luncheons with diplomats and his advisors, signing bills and pushing policy through. He's not slinging hamburgers, stocking shelves at Wal-Mart or installing roof shingles, which many people do 80+ hours a week.
And he gets to sleep in the White House and ride in a fkn Limo. Which you and I pay for.
I'd say aside from having to actually do policy, his entire job is a "break". He can watch the game on TV in the oval office. When the unemployment rate drops below 8% again he can "relax". When the problems that HE CAUSED are solved (i.e. my grandchildren won't need to sell themselves on the street to pay the national debt) he can have a "good time" on the taxpayer dime. What you don't seem to get is this: He's an EMPLOYEE of the UNITED STATES TAXPAYERS. Would you want your employees taking your company money and using it to go watch the Super Bowl while on the clock?

Being a president is just a teeny weeny bit more stressful than flipping burgers. Stress relief = good, watching basketball games = stress relief therefore basketball games = good.

Actually I'm pretty sure Bush has acquired the most national debt here, not Obama. Remember the time before Bush? Guess what, no debt. You kind of screwed yourself right there.

Did you know all the "great presidents" went aroudn doing stuff with the people's money? No one is complaining about that, though. You'll just have to wait and see, if he does a good job no one will give a shit anymore, and if he does a bad job, you're right.
